Good morning! I wanted to let you know/remind you that CMAS (Colorado Measure of Academic Success) testing for 3rd grade starts tomorrow. Students will take the reading/writing test tomorrow, Friday, and Tuesday of next week (April 29, April 30, and May 4th) from 8:15 a.m.-9:45 a.m.
This is a state assessment that all 3rd through 9th-grade students take. This year, third graders do not take the math portion of the test, only the reading/writing portion. Our class has been working really hard and is prepared to do their best. I encourage everyone (the students, myself, and you) to keep this test in perspective. It is only one data point that helps track the progress of students over time.
Thank you for your continued support, and please make sure your child gets enough sleep so they are ready for tomorrow!
