Night of Notables Important Info
Fabulous Fourth Grade Families,
We are so exited to end our year on an exciting note. Fourth grade usually ends the year with a bit of performance art called Night of the Notables. This is a culmination research project where your child chooses a notable figure to learn more about. They conduct research, write a speech, and design a tri-fold poster board to display. Some students take a step further and write a report on their person. Then they dress up as their person and pretend to be a wax sculpture in a wax museum. This is the fun part! We get to do this IN PERSON! We are so excited!
There will be many COVID restrictions in place, for safety, but we get to do it IN PERSON! More information coming soon, but for now, save the date!
When: Jess's Crew on Monday May 24 at 6-7pm
Erin's Class on Tuesday May 25 at 6-7pm
Where: Outside at school, more info coming
Who: Each student may have 2 guests, only. The Form to sign up will come closer to the date.
What do we request from you:
1 tri-fold posterboard. I know Dollar Tree is usually great for this. (if you could donate an extra, that would also be great)
Once your child has selected their person, help them to figure out how they can use clothing you already have, or borrow from someone, to dress up as their person.
Save the date.
That's it. We do the work in class!
The slide deck is on seesaw for more information.
Sincerely,
Ms. Erin the your kiddos.
Thanks and if you have more questions please feel free to text or email. Please do not respond via school deets.
