Literacy Night Tonight!

Hello kinder families!

Tonight is our literacy night. Tonight and our math night are celebrated with grade levels. Jackie and I will be hosting our Literacy night. Please come cozy and with your student! Here is the kindergarten agenda:

• 6:15 - Arrive at the front of the school and head down to the kindergarten pod all the way at the end of the building
• 6:15 - 6:45 - We will have a read aloud and an activity
• 6:45 - 7:15 - Head to the cafeteria where you can get some cider and go to the kindergarten table (and other tables if you have multiple students) to get some resources!
  • A handwriting practice sheet
  • A list of books recommendations for you and your student
  • A paper with a QR code that will send you to a powerpoint of:
    • Letter/Digraph flash cards that you can print out and practice with your student
    • A video on proper pronunciation of sounds
    • A guide on how to correctly hold the pencil!

Jackie and I will also be able to answer any questions from 6:45 - 7:15 as best as we can!
