Weekly Communication

We've had a fantastic and busy week in our room! In Skills we learned about the multiple 'oo' sounds, how to write using quotation marks, and continued reading our bedtime tales focusing on comprehension. We began our nutrition unit by creating wonder questions and learning about grain, dairy, and fruit. We also had our first science buddies of the year yesterday with Ms. Harrison's class! In math, we learned about bar graphs and picture graphs. Knowledge continued the study of insects by looking at social insects and then students picked one insect to research. We started writing a story about that insect using scientific facts and will continue that into next week. Our SEL theme of the week was the respect.

For our nutrition unit, if you have any food magazines or food newspaper ads (like the ones you find by the doors of Sprouts) please send them in! We will be creating a project with them and need to cut out as many food pictures as possible!

Conferences are next week! Please be prompt! I will be sticking to the 15 minute time slots to respect everyone's time. If you have not signed up yet, here is the link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0c4aabab22a2fc1-fall

As a reminder, we are a symptom free school. Please keep your child home with any symptoms and call the attendance line at (720)424-9398

Have a nice weekend!
