Help celebrate Staff Appreciation Week!

Hello Parents!

Staff Appreciation week is coming up May 1st-5th and we have some great things planned to show the Southmoor staff just how much we appreciate them! Please read below to see ways you can contribute and all that's planned for our teachers:

Contribute to a gift card for Miss B. I'll use any money collected to purchase an Amazon gift card and a few of her favorite snacks/treats. If you'd like to contribute, please venmo me at @Ashley-Fellows by Sunday Apil 30 and note that it's for Miss B's gift :)
Give your own gift to Miss B (link to staff favorite things) or have your student make her a card/letter
Share encouraging words. Use this link to share what you and your student(s) love about the staff at Southmoor. These sentiments will be compiled into a display for all the staff to see. Write as many comments for as many staff members as you like. The more we get, the better our display will look!! Feel free to leave your name or student's name off if that's more comfortable for you.
Participate in whole school celebrations. Below you'll see all of the activities, but this includes:
1. Bringing in a picture or card for Mr. JP (Monday 5/1)
2. Getting flowers for Miss B, Miss Gossage, and/or specials teachers (Tuesday 5/2)
3. Have your student dress like their teacher, or wear their teacher's (or multiple teachers) favorite color (Thursday 5/4)
Volunteer/contribute to whole-school celebrations. Using this Sign Up Genius link you can:
1. Volunteer to write messages along the sidewalks around the school
2. Sign up to provide ingredients for a build your own trail mix bar in the staff lounge
3. Volunteer to help hand out flowers to students for them to give to their teachers

Here's everything we have planned for Staff Appreciation Week:

Monday: Snack Attack
- Build your own trail mix bar in the staff lounge (for staff)
- Principal's Day- Have your student bring in a picture or card for Mr. JP
Tuesday: Flower Power
- Students bring in a flower for their teacher (or teachers). This can be fresh flowers or flowers created from art supplies at home.
- (PTO will also have some flowers available to hand out to students)
Wednesday: Sundae Funday/Gift Card Lotto
- Staff will be able to enjoy a sundae bar afterschool and have a chance to choose a mystery gift card.
Thursday: Sweet Treats
- Staff will be given a take home dessert and their favorite beverage.
Friday: Moose Munch Lunch
- Staff will enjoy a catered lunch during their non contact day.
