3rd Grade Deet
Good afternoon,
We hope everyone had a wonderful week!
Thank you for joining us for student led conferences. Students were so excited to share their celebrations and challenges from the year. If you were unable to attend, please check in with your student. All portfolios were sent home this afternoon and we are encouraging students to share with their families.
We also want to thank everyone for joining us at our Dish-A-Story event. We enjoyed learning about everyone's special family recipes and traditions. We were also very grateful for the delicious meals you all provided and the opportunity to spend the evening together as a community. It was super fun!
Important Dates:
May 5 - Spring Wing (more information in thursday Folders)
May 11-12- 5th grade at Balarat
May 19 - Field Day
May 26 - Field Day Rain date
Asbury students (grades 3-5) were invited to participate in a youth panel hosted by CASEL (a social emotional curriculum) focused around collaborative problem solving and PBL. We attended the conference this morning with four third graders that were randomly selected to share our wax museum project . Check out our third grade poster that students shared with guests today! They did an amazing job sharing what they learned and answering questions about the project. We want to give a huge shoutout to Meaghan McCabe, Desi Kennedy and Amy Ravel for their organization and support with this amazing opportunity to showcase our learning with other educators from around the country. This conference traditionally only invites high school and middle school students to speak, so it was a privilege for Asbury to be invited.
Have a fabulous weekend,
The 3rd Grade Team
