conferences, attendance issues, homework, and math test
Dear families,
We have our Unit 4 math test tomorrow. Today we reviewed our pre-assessment as a study guide. It went home in backpacks today. I've attached the pre-assessment and the answer key if you would like to support your student studying for the test at home tonight.
We've had a BIG problem with tardiness this year in our classroom and I've been addressing it with students all year. This morning TEN of our students were not in class when the late bell rang. Just to clarify, the school bell rings at 7:55 and students should head to the classroom then. The late bell rings at 8 am and students should be in the classroom ready for attendance. Thank you in advance for your help in getting kids to school on time. If we have ONE day where all students are present when the bell rings, we are throwing a party in our classroom. We have not had one day of school to date where all students were present! Please help!! Thanks!
We have also had a lot less homework being completed and turned in this semester. Many students received a 1 (Does Not Meet Expectations) or 2 (approaching expectations) on their report cards this trimester in the "turns in homework and assignments" category. I am trying to get students ready for middle school where not doing homework isn't an option (or a great choice). Please help your student set time aside to get it done and turned in. Thanks so much for your help!
Please reach out with any questions!
