Personal invitation to attend a book study and discussion about race

 

Dear families, 

I feel passionately about a community opportunity at Izzi B. and want to personally invite you to attend.  Please come join staff and parents in a book study of the text, So You Want to Talk About Race, by Ijeoma Oluo.  The founder of the Brave Coalition, Lisa Abuogi, will come to our library and facilitate discussion.  There are only 3 sessions.  The dates are Wednesday, May 8th, Monday, May 13th and Wednesday, May 22nd from 3:30-5. I believe this book study will make a difference for Izzi B. and our larger community.  Please let me know if you are interested in coming!  Books are available on Amazon or we can share my copy.
