Classroom Update (5/27/19)
Hello all!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Here is a preview of arts week in our school and classroom!
NO SCHOOL MONDAY – Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!
TALENT SHOW – Our annual Izzi B Talent Show will take place on Wednesday, 5/29 starting at 1:40pm in our community room. Many students will participate in our “busking” walkway to the show. I would recommend arriving at 1:15 to walk through the hallways and see all of the talent! Many of our own classroom students will be featured!
FIELD DAY – Field Day is next Thursday, May 30th!! Opening Ceremony will take place at 8:30AM on the outdoor stage. Everyone is invited. Events for Kindergarten-2nd grade will take place from 8:45-10:45. 2nd Grade Lunch will begin at 12:15.
Please remind your child to wear close-toed shoes, sunscreen, hats etc. They are welcome to wear swimsuits UNDER their clothes, but not a swim suit alone (with the exception of ECE for splash day). Please remind them to bring a water bottle (labeled with their name), there will be water fill stations throughout the course to fill up, but there will not be cups this year. ***TIE DYE T-SHIRTS WILL BE HANDED OUT ON THURSDAY MORNING BEFORE FIELD DAY!***
LAST DAY INFORMATION – Our last day of school is a half day on Friday: There’s no Discovery Link, and no hot lunch. Our classroom liaisons will bring frozen treats for everyone to share on the playground at 11:20am. We will dismiss at 11:30am. Buses run on a half-day schedule, leaving at 11:40.
