Upcoming Events

Hi Room Parents,

A few reminders and things to start thinking about:

• Dining for Dollars (DFD) tomorrow, Tuesday 10/8...encourage families to go as it's one of our biggest DFD events with 33% back to the school.
• The PTO meeting is THIS Thursday (10/10) from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm in the Library.  If you haven't been to a meeting, I strongly encourage you to go...it's a great time to meet other parents, know what's happening at school before most, have a chance to talk with administration and Coach Hartman will be a guest speaker this month.
• Friday, 10/25-Skate City Night in Aurora!  This is always a fun time and a great fundraiser.  Cost is $5 to get in, $2.50 skate rental or bring your own skates at no charge.  The class with the most attendance could earn their teacher $100 if we have more than 125 skaters in attendance.  Encourage your class to go! 
• Start talking with your teachers about Harvest/Halloween celebrations on Thursday 10/31.  The Halloween parade usually starts around 2:15 -2:30 pm and celebrations are usually right before then.  Ask your teacher what they need help with.  Will they break the party up into stations?  Do you need a sign up genius for volunteers, snacks, craft supplies, etc? Once you have figured out a plan, send out a note and/or sign up genius to the class!
• Have you found a parent to take on the class auction project yet?  If not, reach out to parents and/or the teacher to help find someone. The auction is in March with the project most likely being due at the end of February.  Remember, the PTO has set aside $100/class for auction project and class get-together.

I will send out any other updates I may receive from the PTO meeting that I think you all may need to know after Thursday.
