The GT Family Advisory group will be meeting on October 23,2019 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at The DPS Acoma Building; 1617 Acoma St, Denver, CO 80223.

Light snacks and translators will be available.

Talented Black Children Family Event

The Foundation for Sustainable Urban Communities

Last  year, DPS started "Continuing the Conversation; Supporting our Bright, Talented Black Children" series which was designed to provide outreach to families of black children.  The year started with an amazing event with Dr. Joy Lawson Davis during which the momentum and need to continue this work became evident.  This work is critical as we address the lack of representation in gifted programming.  Based on last year’s success, we will be hosting two events this year-- on October 17, 2019 and March 4, 2020. We need your help getting this information out to families - EVERYONE is welcome and we encourage you to attend!  We have had some fantastic, informative, and honest conversations as we work on closing the opportunity gaps.
