[3rd Grade] Staff Appreciation Week
Hello Parents!
Staff Appreciation week is coming up next week — May 1st-5th — and we have some great things planned to show the Southmoor staff just how much we appreciate them!
[An extra FYI, Ms. Thornes' birthday is Monday May 8th!]
Using this Sign Up Genius link you can:
- Volunteer to write messages along the sidewalks around the school on Sunday, April 30, 3-4pm.
- Sign up to provide ingredients for a build your own trail mix bar in the staff lounge on Monday, May 1.
- Volunteer to help hand out flowers to students for them to give to their teachers on Tuesday, May 2.
Other ways to participate:
- Use this link to share what you and your student(s) love about the staff at Southmoor. These sentiments will be compiled into a display for all the staff to see. Write as many comments for as many staff members as you like. The more we get, the better our display will look!! Feel free to leave your name or student's name off if that's more comfortable for you.
- Have your student dress like their teacher, or wear their teacher's (or multiple teachers) favorite color on Thursday, May 4th.
Here's everything we have planned for Staff Appreciation Week:
Monday: Snack Attack
Build your own trail mix bar in the staff lounge
Principal's Day- Have your student bring in a picture or card for Mr. JP
Tuesday: Flower Power
Students bring in a flower for their teacher (or teachers). This can be fresh flowers or flowers created from art supplies at home.
(PTO will also have some flowers available to hand out to students)
Wednesday: Sundae Funday/Gift Card Lotto
Staff will be able to enjoy a sundae bar afterschool and have a chance to choose a mystery gift card.
Thursday: Sweet Treats
Staff will be given a take home dessert and their favorite beverage.
Students dress like their teacher, or wear their teachers' favorite color(s). Ms. Thornes - green or blue; Ms. Stockton - blue

Friday: Moose Munch Lunch
Staff will enjoy a catered lunch during their non contact day.
