Battle of the Books Final Week Details

Hello,

Lots of excitement in the air for the Final Battle on Thursday!  I was very impressed with the way teams performed last week in the semi-finals (such close, nail-biter games!) and the positive sportsmanship that all teams exhibited.  The following two teams advanced to Thursday's Final Battle:

Team 3: Ja’Kar, John, Zoe, Maya, Hailey, Sloan

Team 4: Adrian, Simone, Jillian, Lucie, Calvin, Zoey

Final (May 23, 10:45-11:30)—

LIBRARY

All parents and participants from teams that did not advance to the final round can attend.  There will be no eating in the the library.  Students can eat lunch in Angie's room after.  It’s highly encouraged to bring sack lunch from home on this day.

Tattered Cover Colfax (May 25, 10:00~11:00)

The winning team members will receive a gift card to Tattered Cover.  Val and I will be at Tattered Cover on Colfax this Saturday, May 25 from 10-11.  All BOB team participants (winning team or otherwise) can join us if you're able.  Please stay at Tattered Cover with your child or arrange for supervision with another parent.  Come for as long or as little as you're able.  Please tell Val or myself if you're planning to come so we can be on the lookout for you.  We will meet you in the Children's Area.    

Finally, I'm missing a LOT of books that I checked out to students.  Students signed these books out when they borrowed them, so I have record of who has books out still and who doesn't.  The front cover will have either a stamp with my name or the school's name on it.  Please remind your child to return his/her borrowed books to me this week so that you're not responsible for the cost of the book.  

We hope to see as many of you as possible at the Final Battle on Thursday and at Tattered Cover on Saturday.
