Hi Families,

We sent a notice regarding the Husky Hustle.  Please ensure that your 3rd grader is dressed for the change of weather from Wed. afternoon to Thur. morning (a 50 degree predicted drop) AND for the Husky Hustle on Fri.

There is some confusion about wearing pajamas inside out and snowy days ... we were sharing superstitions about snow days, and one of them was to wear pjs inside out the night before the  snowy day, not to school. 

Math homework has changed.  Students will now bring home a page or two from their Bridges Home Connections a couple of times a week.  We will write it down in our planners on the day it is assigned.  For example, HC (Home Connections) 1-2 (pages) was assigned Monday night and due Tues.  About half the class finished.  They need to finish tonight & return tomorrow.  Students know they should have a picture, equation, and sentence to show their work.  This homework is a review of what was taught in class.

On Monday, students were told to bring home their "Word Sort" - a ziploc bag of words, a graph paper ladder, and a menu.  They should keep these at home and practice from time to time.  We started our new Sort this week.

We finished some monthly testing last week:  Istation Reading, STAR Reading, and STAR Math. 

Students need headphones EVERY DAY at school so they can use the audio portion of their Chromes.  They can keep them in their backpack if you only want them to have one pair between school and home.

Ask students to show you how to access OverDrive and Tumblebooks.
