homework and CMAS!
Hi all,
I did not send homework home last week because we had conferences and snow days. This week I will send home a review packet for CMAS math testing. I know it's spring break, but the testing schedule was moved a week earlier and I want the kids to be as prepared as possible. Have them work on the review packet whenever you have a chance. In preparation for the CMAS literacy tests, we are working hard on writing our essays. Kids complaining they're bored? Have them work on the CMAS practice essays! They can log into their google accounts at home and work on writing. I know they'll love it ;) You can also check out their writing.
We will have our Unit 5 math test on Friday. This is much earlier than I'd like to give it, but I don't want to give it during CMAS testing. The students will have their pre-assessments completed as a study guide which they'll bring home on Thursday. I've attached the answer key which you can print at home and review with them. You may have to dust off your "how to multiply and divide fractions" memories like I did! Please reach out with any questions.
Please make sure that you students are rested, fed, and on time for school during testing, the week after spring break. Here is the schedule:
April 3, 4, 5 ELA 8 AM - 10:30 AM
April 9, 10, 11 MATH 8 AM - 10:30 AM
April 16, 17, 18 SCIENCE 8 AM - 10:30 AM
April 8, 12, 14, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 MAKE UP DAYS
Thanks for your help in getting kids ready for our big tests. Have a wonderful spring break next week! School starts again on Tuesday, April 2.
