New Principal of Place Bridge

Dear Place Bridge Academy Community,
We are excited to announce that Mrs. Nadia Madan Morrow has been selected as the next leader at Place Bridge Academy for the 2023-2024 school year and beyond. We are very confident that Mrs. Madan Morrow will continue to build upon the many strengths of Place Bridge Academy and that she will carry on and expand Place Bridge Academy’s foundation of success for students for many years to come.
As shared in her bio, Mrs. Madan Morrow has been a proud Team DPS member for over 24 years. She brings extensive expertise in instructional programming and has a proven track record of success for improving student achievement for all students, especially our multilingual learners. She began her educational career as an English Language Acquisition - Spanish (ELA-S) ECE and kindergarten teacher in the Southwest Denver area. Prior to her current role as the Chief of Academics for our district, Mrs. Madan Morrow has also served as the Executive Director of Multilingual Education and has led the district efforts to serve our multilingual learners across our DPS schools. She is the proud daughter of immigrants and lives in the Place Bridge community with her family. We are excited to welcome Mrs. Nadia Madan Morrow to Place Bridge Academy!
The Place Bridge Academy Collaborative School Committee (CSC) developed a candidate profile based on the community’s input about key traits for the next leader of Place Bridge. In particular, Mrs. Madan Morrow brings a wealth of experience as a bilingual leader that has extensive knowledge and experience with ELA programming, multi-language learners, and culturally responsive education. Mrs. Madan Morrow is committed to high expectations and student achievement for all students and engaging in an open dialogue with parents and our community.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed input and feedback.The input you shared early in the process, was used by the Collaborative School Committee (CSC) to develop a candidate profile and interview questions. The feedback you shared at the community forum and in response to candidate videos was shared with the superintendent prior to the final interviews. A huge thank you and our sincerest gratitude also goes out to the Collaborative School Committee (CSC) for their commitment and being an integral part of this process. This committee served the school community well and their unwavering commitment to the ongoing success of Place Bridge Academy was apparent at every turn.
