Thank you!

As I was leaving today, I checked my mailbox and found one of the most generous gifts I have ever recieved. It wasn’t an easy decision to go on strike. It was scary, I was so worried about my classroom (but somehow scored the best sub in the building), and I was unsure of how the community would react. I signed up to drive Lyft again, to tide me over, not knowing how long it would all last.

Opening that card opened a flood gate. The exhaustion, relief, kindness and stress of the week all came at once and I knew that coming to Izzy B might have been the best decision I have ever made. I was crying like a baby!

Thank you again. Thank you for your kids, they are everything. I put a picture of my kiddo showing off her “fancy sign” because I feel the same way about every kid in our school ?
