Week 7 Updates
Wolf Pack Weekly
Family Photos: If you haven’t sent in a picture of your family, please send one in. We are working on a Crew project and want to showcase all of our Crew Families! You can email, text, or send in a paper copy.
Skills: Skills is when we work on learning our letters and the sounds that they make. This helps us prepare for reading and writing. Each week we will learn 2 new letters, these past two weeks we’ve learned “Mm,” “Rr” “Vv,” and “Ss.” Ask your child what sound each letter makes and if they can find things around your house that begin with those sounds. You can also support with writing these letters at home. I am also sending home some practice sheets for handwriting and beginning sounds.
Upcoming Field Work: We will be going on a trip to Hampden Heights Library on Tuesday 10/11 to visit the IdeaLab. This trip will give your child a chance to learn a little more about the library and experience one of the super fun and enriching programs available at the library. Since the library is only a couple of blocks away from our school, we will be walking there from the school. The weather looks to be pretty nice that day, so we should have a nice day for a walk; please still send your child to school with a jacket just in case as well as comfortable walking shoes. We can have around 3 extra adults that can join us so, if you would like to join please let me know ASAP. We will be leaving the school at 10:30am so that we can arrive at the library by 11am. Once we are done at the library we will head next door to the park to have lunch and play a little.
Preparing for the weather: As the weather begins to change, please make sure you are sending your kiddos to school prepared. Please label any clothing with your child’s name so it can be easily found if misplaced.
Snack: The school provides snack for us Tuesday through Thursday. If you would like to donate snack to our class for Mondays and Fridays, please keep in mind that we have a tree nut and peanut allergy and we have 23 students in our class.
Upcoming Dates:
10/14- No School
10/17- No School
10/25- Back to School Night/Celebration of Learning (MORE INFO TO COME)
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Donnie
