Weekly Update and Specials Schedule

Dear Parents,

Below is the weekly update and specials schedule. On Thursday, we will have a pep rally for our fun run at 9:20. We have library on Thursday, please make sure your child returns their library books. We have our last Council Meeting on Thursday from 5:30 - 7:00, I hope to see you there! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Math: We will be focusing on two 'big ideas' of algebra this week, patterns and functions. Students will be exploring these two 'big ideas'. 

Writing: We will continue our persuasive letters. This week we will focus on writing strong introductions and conclusion, using transition words, and adjectives.

Reading: We will be learning about text features of nonfiction texts and electronic texts. These include the table of contents, glossary, headings, index, and captions. 

Skills: We will continue learning vowel teams and will focus on -oo and -ou this week.

Unit of Inquiry: We will learn about how animal behaviors help their offspring survive.

Specials Schedule: Tues. & Thurs. - Spanish, Wed. - Music, Fri.-P.E.
