Weekly Update and Specials Schedule

Dear Parents,

Below is the weekly update and specials schedule. On Friday we have the Fun Run! All parents are encouraged to come watch. I will send more information on Tuesday. We have Library on Thursday, please make sure your child returns their books by Thursday. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Math: This week will explore data and measurement. Students will be making and flying paper gliders in order to gather data and measure distances. 

Writing: We will continue our persuasive letters and focus on writing strong conclusions. Students will also revise/edit with a partner and reflect on their strengths and goals as writers. 

Reading: We will be learning about asking questions in order to comprehend what we read and we will finish learning about text features.

Skills: We will review our vowel teams this week.

Unit of Inquiry: We will finish up our organisms unit and students will choose an animal and write a nonfiction book about their chosen animal. 

Specials Schedule: Mon., Wed., Fri. - Spanish, Tues. - Music, Thurs.- P.E.
